Letting Go of the Illusion: What I Learned from a Tragedy
When I first saw the news about the priest who died when the cross fell on him, I felt so strange. As a spiritual person, it felt like something was deeply off in the invisible world. Then I saw all the terrible social media rumours about him stealing money, and it made me feel like the world is just getting worse and full of chaos. It made me ask: If you trust God, how can a cross become a tool to kill you? Who will believe in Jesus after this?
But this tragedy forced me to wake up from an illusion.
The truth is, many believers have the false idea that God will just step in and fix everything for us. We think faith is a magical shield. But this incident reminds us that if human behaviour doesn't work correctly, safely, and with caution, tragedy can happen. Even inside a church, a heavy cross is still a physical material. If human workers don't pay attention to the details or maintain a structure correctly, serious consequences can follow. The actual cause of this tragedy still needs to be established, but the importance of human responsibility is clear.
This means we cannot just sit back and have a passive faith. We still need to actively work on ourselves.
I am choosing to live with the correct concept now instead of false teachings. I need to be cautious about how I live, what I do, and how I work. Paying attention to details is a real duty. I also need to be cautious about what I see online, rejecting the chaos and the rumours that humans create.
No matter how high your position is, or how much you trust God, blind belief won't protect you from earthly reality. Our human labour and behaviour matter. The priest was an innocent worker whose life was lost and whose reputation was attacked by unverified rumours. For me, I am walking away from the illusion. I am choosing to live an awake, aware, and cautious life, doing my part correctly every single day.
How This Connects to Human Behaviour in the AI Era
What I have seen through this tragedy also reflects what is happening in today's digital world.
Technology can help people communicate faster, but it can also spread misinformation, damage reputations, and create confusion when human behaviour lacks responsibility and discernment.
The same applies to AI. We may believe advanced technology can solve everything, just as some people believe faith alone can protect them from every problem. But without human judgment, critical thinking, careful decisions, and accountability, we may create greater risks rather than better outcomes.
This is why I believe faith, humanity, technology, and spiritual discernment cannot be separated.
Faith shapes our beliefs. Humanity determines our actions. Technology extends our capabilities and influence. Spiritual discernment helps us reflect, question, and understand what is right before making decisions.
They all influence one another.
In the AI era, human responsibility becomes even more important. We cannot simply trust what technology produces, just as we cannot expect faith to replace our own responsibilities.
We still need to pause, rethink, analyse, and then act.

For me, this is not just about technology or religion. It is about learning how to live, work, and make decisions correctly while protecting ourselves and others from unnecessary harm.
